Labour chooses Celia for Hove (8 February 2005)

Hove Labour Party members have chosen Celia Barlow as Labour's prospective parliamentary candidate for Hove and Portslade.

Celia is chair of Chichester Labour Party. She stood as Labour candidate there in 2001 and increased the Labour vote.

She has impressed us with her energy and her experience. Celia was the nomination of Goldsmid and Stanford Branch Labour Party plus several other local party branches.

Celia is currently a lecturer in film and video, and was previously a BBC News Producer for some years after leaving university. She is married to former BBC Foreign Correspondent, Sam Jaffa, and has three children, two boys aged 12 and eight and one daughter who’s just turned ten.
