Housing Options carried out (13 December 2004)

Brighton & Hove City Council is carrying out an ‘Options Appraisal’ with tenants and leaseholders to investigate the best way of raising money needed to improve and modernise council homes in the city.

Solon Community Network was appointed by tenants and leaseholders to provide them with advice during the Options Appraisal. This is an important chance for people to talk to experts, ask any questions they have, and find out more about the housing options.

Solon also operates a helpline for anyone wishing to discuss the options, call freephone 0800 169 4406. The Labour Council has promised that all tenants will have the opportunity to decide on their preferred option through a ballot.

This affects many homes in Goldsmid where the Council is either the landlord or freeholder of properties, in particular the Clarendon estate in Clarendon Road.
