St. Anne's Well wins Green Flag Award (August 2005)

Congratulations to Labour Brighton & Hove City Council for Goldsmid's St. Anne's Well Gardens which has yet again won a Green Flag award for 2005-6.

The awards are for the best parks in the Country and the equivalent of the prestigious Blue Flags awarded to beaches.

St. Anne's Well is one of just 25 in the whole of the South East to be successful. You can read more about the award for our park at the Civic Trust's Green Flag Awards website here.

The new Garden Café is now open and is already proving very popular in in the park. When the Council began looking for a new café provider it was controversial, but we supported the move and think the massive improvement in the facilities and service is there for all to see.
