BHASVIC Crossing safety improvements (November 2006)

The junction outside BHASVIC in Dyke Road is going to be improved following a high-profile campaign by residents who have safety concerns about this heavily-used junction.

The minor alterations will be implemented next year. However, more comprehensive pedestrian crossing facilities will be installed during the City's Year of Walking and Cycling in 2009.

We are delighted about the improvements but disappointed the full pedestrian crossing is still some way off being implemented.
