St. Anne’s Well Gardens - Green Flag award and Café update

Once again St. Anne’s Well Gardens has won a prestigious Green Flag award for 2004. The Green Flag Park Award scheme aims to set standards for public parks that will meet the needs of the community into the future.

There has been controversy recently due to the café lease expiring.

Charlie’s Café is a famous local institution in our City’s best park. But we believe that the massive interest shown in taking on the new lease will result in an equally popular teashop.

Council officers have assured us that bids are full of ideas for improving the quality of the service offered. 25 bids were received and and update on the new service will be posted here as soon as it's known.
