Lis stands for Labour as Goldsmid by-election called for 23 JulyA by-election is due to take place on 23 July resignation of the inactive Tory Councillor in Goldsmid Ward. Labour and Co-operative candidate Lis Telcs is hoping to meet as many local residents as possible in the coming weeks. She has been working hard alongside Melanie Davis for over a year on campaigns like '20 is Plenty'. No doubt people will be flooded by leaflets from all sides. She was selected by local Party members in June 2008 when it became clear one of the Conservative councillors was not doing his job and had moved out of the city.
